Resident Care Assistant FT - PT & Per Diem All Shifts
Job Summary
Resident Care Assistant provides activities of daily living assistance and medication reminders (not to administer) to residents in an assisted living community. The role emphasizes high-quality service and resident/family satisfaction, adherence to Resident Rights and safety procedures, and collaboration with staff to coordinate tasks and respond to resident needs. Responsibilities may include personal care, documentation, housekeeping and dining room duties as delegated, on-call availability, and supporting a positive, calm environment. Requires either current Nursing Assistant certification or completion of CHHA/homemaker training, plus a high school diploma or GED, and flexibility to work full-time, part-time, or per diem across shifts. Based in Boston, MA.
Required Qualifications
- Must have current certification as a nursing assistant or have successfully completed the certified home health aide or homemaker/personal care homemaker training program
- High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must successfully complete HallKeen Assisted Living Communities, LLC’s Medication Training
- Able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; Able to write simple correspondence; Able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
- Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Able to work various schedules and shifts as needed
- Physical ability requirements (lifting limits, bending, etc.)
