Job Summary
Provide physical and psychosocial care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, eating, and ambulation. Conduct room checks, resident rounds, and monitor for environmental safety hazards while utilizing safe transfer techniques. Escort residents, coordinate transportation, and assist with personal correspondence or telephone use. Wash laundry, perform housekeeping tasks, and serve meals in the dining room. Document services on company forms, operate medical equipment, and report changes in residents' condition or any suspected abuse immediately. Maintain professional demeanor and use tactful communication in sensitive situations.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read, write, and speak in English
- Satisfactory completion of the company Resident Assistant skills competency checklist
- Be in good physical health and free of communicable diseases
- Lifting, bending, and pushing medication cart about residence
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds
- Completion of drug testing and criminal background check upon hire and upon request of supervisor
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in Assisted Living preferred
