Job Summary
Provide physical and psychosocial care to residents by assisting with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, eating, and ambulation. Conduct resident rounds, perform room checks, and monitor for environmental safety hazards while utilizing safe transfer techniques. Wash laundry, operate medical equipment, escort residents for transportation, and assist with correspondence and dining tasks. Report changes in residents' condition, suspected abuse, and emergencies to the supervisor immediately. Maintain professional demeanor, document services on company forms, and follow infection control procedures. Collaborate with peers and other department associates to ensure necessary care is delivered.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read, write, and speak in English
- Satisfactory completion of the company Resident Assistant skills competency checklist
- Be in good physical health and free of communicable diseases
- Lifting, bending, and pushing medication cart about residence
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds
- Completion of drug testing and criminal background check upon hire and upon request of supervisor
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in Assisted Living preferred
