Job Summary

Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, meal preparation, grooming, toileting, and transferring under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse. Provide immediate response to resident requests, manage medication administration, and facilitate wheelchair transport while adhering to personal protective equipment protocols. Maintain facility standards by reporting unsafe conditions, completing annual in-service training, and documenting all care duties and resident status changes. Ensure compliance with HIPAA policies, facility dress codes, and electronic timekeeping systems while supporting the dining room service team.

Required Qualifications

  • Eighteen (18) years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certification by an approved basic training program approved by the Department of Health
  • Written evidence of such certification
  • Current annual skills testing approval
  • Ability to assist residents with all aspects of Daily Living Activities including bathing, toileting, and transferring
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 55 pounds
  • Ability to perform occasional 2 person lift up to 120 pounds
  • Ability to verbally communicate well with residents, families and staff members
  • Ability to read and understand task assignments
  • Ability to report verbally and provide written documentation as required
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level
