Job Summary
Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, grooming, meal preparation, dressing, toileting, and transferring under direct nurse supervision. Transport residents in wheelchairs, apply personal protective equipment as required, and respond immediately to resident requests. Maintain facility standards by reporting unsafe conditions, completing annual in-service training, and documenting duties before breaks or shift end. Support dining room service and participate in staff meetings while adhering to HIPAA policies and dress code. Work full-time 6am-2pm shifts, maintaining regular attendance and utilizing the electronic timekeeping system.
Required Qualifications
- Eighteen (18) years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification by an approved basic training program approved by the Department of Health
- Written evidence of such certification
- Current annual skills testing approval
- Ability to assist residents with all aspects of Daily Living Activities including bathing, toileting, and transferring
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 55 pounds
- Ability to perform occasional 2 person lift up to 120 pounds
- Ability to verbally communicate well with residents, families and staff members
- Ability to read and understand task assignments
- Ability to report verbally
- Ability to provide written documentation as required
