Job Summary
Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, transferring, hygiene, and ambulation. Complete necessary forms, take resident weights and vital signs, and report abnormal findings such as injuries, incidents, skin issues, or unsafe conditions. Perform housekeeping of resident suites and common areas, complete personal laundry and linens, and assist in dining areas and activities. Follow infection control and safety practices while communicating effectively with residents, staff, and visitors. Attend required in-service education.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of a grammar school education
- Must be able to assist residents in activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, transferring, personal hygiene and ambulation
- Must be able to complete necessary forms
- Must be able to assist with taking resident weights and vital signs
- Must be able to report abnormal findings such as injuries, incidents, skin issues, complaints, suspected abuse/neglect/misappropriation and unsafe conditions
- Must be able to attend required in-service education
- Must be able to perform housekeeping of resident suites and common areas
- Must be able to complete residents personal laundry and community linens
- Must be able to assist in dining areas, activities and orientation on new residents
- Must be able to follow appropriate Infection Control and Safety Practices
- Must be able to communicate effectively with residents, staff and visitors
Desired Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent
