Job Summary
Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, transferring, hygiene, and ambulation. Take resident weights and vital signs, complete necessary forms, and perform housekeeping duties for suites and common areas. Handle resident laundry and community linens while supporting dining areas, activities, and new resident orientation. Report any abnormal findings, injuries, incidents, skin issues, complaints, suspected abuse, or unsafe conditions immediately. Follow infection control and safety practices, attend required in-service education, and communicate effectively with residents, staff, and visitors.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of a grammar school education
- Ability to assist residents in activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, transferring, personal hygiene, and ambulation
- Ability to complete necessary forms
- Ability to assist with taking resident weights and vital signs
- Ability to report abnormal findings such as injuries, incidents, skin issues, complaints, suspected abuse/neglect/misappropriation, and unsafe conditions
- Ability to attend required in-service education
- Ability to perform housekeeping of resident suites and common areas
- Ability to complete residents personal laundry and community linens
- Ability to assist in dining areas, activities, and orientation on new residents
- Ability to follow appropriate Infection Control and Safety Practices
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, staff, and visitors
