Job Summary
Provide quality care and assistance with activities of daily living to residents, including moving them to and from dining rooms and activities. Perform housekeeping duties such as making beds, cleaning apartments, and common areas. Report incidents, care concerns, and resident status to appropriate individuals like HCD, RN/LPN, or ED. Assist in planning activity programs, check on residents who are ill, and ensure attendance at meals and events. Respond promptly to resident calls and emergency alerts while maintaining confidentiality and following all policies. Work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. Must be CPR/First Aid certified or willing to become certified within 60 days. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Successfully completed approved personal care aide program per state regulations as applicable
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in-writing
- Ability to be organized and able to work well with all levels of personnel
- Ability to be a contributing member of nursing team and follow instruction of supervisor
- Ability to be polite and considerate of residents, visitors, and co-workers at all times
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, and push or carry 25 lbs
- Ability to safely lift and transfer residents while maintaining proper body mechanics
- Ability to be in designated uniform during working hours, to include name badge
- CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to become certified within 60 days of hire
- Ability to represent the community in a positive and professional manner
- Willingness to attend and complete all required in-services and staff meetings
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays
