Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive safety inspections, manage food inventory, and oversee laundry operations during evening shifts. Supervise residents by coaching on program policies, resolving conflicts, and providing crisis intervention while maintaining accurate HMIS data entry and daily census logs. Coordinate team tasks, answer telephone inquiries, and address urgent maintenance or safety concerns immediately. Maintain communication shift-to-shift through staff journals and attend mandatory meetings and training sessions. Ensure facility upkeep and support social programming in alignment with agency strategic objectives.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Two years of experience working in human services
- Valid NYS Driver's License that will meet The Salvation Army's insurance requirements
- Knowledge of social service resources within Central New York's community
- At least one year experience working in office environment
- Clerical skills including phone etiquette, filing, computer skills
- Ability to manage several tasks and projects
- Intermediate to Advanced Computer skills including MS Office suite, Internet/Search Techniques
Desired Qualifications
- Associated degree
- One year of experience preferred
- Prior experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness
- Prior experience working in a team lead role
