Job Summary
Obtain and document residents' vital signs, reporting changes to the supervising nurse per Individual Service Plans. Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, nutrition, and medication reminders while maintaining a safe, clean environment. Adhere to infection prevention protocols and encourage resident independence through engagement activities. Complete accurate care documentation, protect privacy via HIPAA compliance, and attend required training sessions. Work under the direction of the Healthcare Coordinator to deliver compassionate, respectful care in a supportive setting.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- At least six months of caregiving experience, preferably working with older adults
- Completion of a medication management course (or ability to obtain if required)
- CPR certification within 90 days of hire
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to remain calm and professional in emotionally challenging situations
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Compassionate, dependable, and committed to delivering high-quality resident care
