Job Summary
Resident Assistant provides quality care and assistance with activities of daily living to residents; assists in meals, dining, activities, and move-in transitions; supports emotional well-being; maintains confidentiality; follows policies; communicates resident status and needs; must be able to lift, assist transfers, and respond to emergencies; CPR/First Aid certification required or within 60 days; requires High School Diploma or GED; flexible schedule including weekends/holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Successfully completed approved personal care aide program per state regulations as applicable
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Organizational skills and ability to work with all levels of personnel
- Politeness and consideration of residents, visitors, and co-workers
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods; lift 50 lbs and push/carry 25 lbs; safely lift and transfer residents
- Wear designated uniform with name badge
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to become certified within 60 days
- Attend required in-services and staff meetings
- Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
