Job Summary
Resident Assistant provides personal care and delegated health-related services to residents to maintain physical and emotional well-being. Follows individualized care plans, assists with activities of daily living (dressing, grooming, bathing, eating, toileting, ambulation, transferring), supports AM/HS cares, incontinence care, assists with medications as delegated by the RN, documents changes in residents' condition, promotes independence, collaborates with Clinical Director/Manager and RN, orients and coaches staff, completes scheduled cleaning tasks, leads and assists resident activities, and responds to safety hazards and call lights. Must meet minimum age and safety/regulatory requirements; preferred CNA/HHA certification with experience working with seniors.
Required Qualifications
- 17 years of age or older
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written
- Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident's Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulations
- Preferred Qualifications: High school diploma, GED or Higher
- Previous experience with working with seniors
- Licensure/Certification: Certified Nursing Assistant CNA and/or Home Health Aide
