Job Summary
As a Resident Assistant at Vivie, work in the Nursing department to provide hands-on support and companionship to residents during the 2:30 p.m.–11:00 p.m. shifts (every other weekend and holiday). Responsibilities include assisting residents with daily activities (bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting, mobility), supporting meals and restorative care, encouraging participation in social, recreational, and wellness activities, maintaining a clean environment through housekeeping and laundry, preparing and serving meals and snacks, and reporting changes in health or well-being to nursing staff. You’ll help residents transition into their new home, welcome new residents, and perform additional duties as assigned. Required or preferred CNA certification in Minnesota or Wisconsin, ability to pass a state background check, strong teamwork and communication skills, and English proficiency. This is an hourly, non-exempt role in the Nursing department with competitive benefits and opportunities for growth.
Required Qualifications
- Minnesota or Wisconsin CNA certification (preferred and may be required for some levels of assisted living)
- Ability to pass a state-required background study
- Clear and compassionate communication abilities
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
- Ability to read, write, and speak English well enough to communicate with staff, residents, and visitors
