Job Summary
Provide quality care and assistance with activities of daily living to residents, including moving them to and from the dining room and activities. Report incidents, care concerns, and status updates to appropriate individuals such as HCD, RN/LPN, or ED. Perform housekeeping duties like making beds, cleaning apartments, and common areas. Check on residents, ensure attendance at meals, and assist with move-in transitions. Respond promptly to resident calls, emergency alerts, and activity program planning. Maintain confidentiality and follow all policies, procedures, and in-services. Work weekends and holidays in a flexible schedule.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Successfully completed approved personal care aide program per state regulations as applicable
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in-writing
- Ability to be organized and able to work well with all levels of personnel
- Ability to be a contributing member of nursing team and follow instruction of supervisor
- Ability to be polite and considerate of residents, visitors, and co-workers at all times
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, and push or carry 25 lbs
- Ability to safely lift and transfer residents while maintaining proper body mechanics
- Ability to be in designated uniform during working hours, to include name badge
- CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to become certified within 60 days of hire
- Ability to represent the community in a positive and professional manner
- Willingness to attend and complete all required in-services and staff meetings
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays
