Job Summary
Provide quality resident-directed care in a home-like environment by assisting with activities of daily living, administering medications, and performing light housekeeping and meal service. Utilize resident service plans to deliver personalized care, assist with ambulation and transfers, and respond promptly to notification systems. Monitor and document changes in resident condition, report unsafe conditions or incidents, and engage residents in psychosocial activities. Complete incident reports and paperwork while following infection control protocols and safety precautions. Work every other weekend only at Resthaven, a faith-based organization serving older adults since 1945.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or successful completion of GED
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, lift, push, pull, and assist residents throughout your shift
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to use mechanical lifts and clinical equipment safely
- Must maintain visual acuity and physical stamina required for resident care
- Must be available for Every Other Weekend Only schedule
- Must be able to work Part-Time
- Must be able to work No mandatory overtime (No Mandation)
- Must be able to work in Agency-free care teams
- Must be able to work within NOMI Health Insurance Network – $0 copays, $0 deductibles, and $0 coinsurance for full-time employees

- Must be able to Utilize the resident service plan and resident story to provide personalized and appropriate care for each resident
- Must be able to Assist with personal care, ambulation, transfers, and positioning as needed while maintaining the privacy, comfort and dignity of each resident
- Must be able to Respond promptly to the notification system signaled by the resident
- Must be able to Administer medications as directed by the physician
- Must be able to Monitor, document and report changes in the resident's condition to the clinical support team
- Must be able to Monitor, intervene and report unsafe conditions and document incidents and or accidents when they occur
- Must be able to Report any actual or suspected waste, fraud or abuse to the Director and/or designee immediately
- Must be able to Perform light housekeeping duties and assist with serving meals, snacks and beverages
- Must be able to Communicate openly and honestly at all levels and work as a cohesive team to create and maintain an environment in which everyone can thrive
- Must be able to Engages residents in unplanned and planned activities supporting resident's psychosocial well-being
- Must be able to Provide excellent customer service, support and encouragement to residents, families, coworkers and other customers through the Resthaven Way culture
