Job Summary
Support residents with personal care tasks including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Offer companionship, conversation, and emotional support throughout each shift. Assist with mobility, transfers, and repositioning as needed. Serve meals and provide feeding assistance when required. Help plan and lead resident-centered activities and light exercise programs. Observe and promptly report any changes in a resident's physical or emotional condition. Keep resident care areas neat, sanitary, and organized. Document care provided and communicate clearly with Health & Wellness staff. Follow all safety, HIPAA, and facility protocols. Attend scheduled in-service training and team meetings. Work assigned shifts, including nights, rotating weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Must pass a background check
- Lift up to 50lbs
- Stand and walk for extended periods
- Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, and climbing stairs
- Ability to assist with resident transfers and repositioning
- Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations
- Work assigned shifts, including nights, rotating weekends, and holidays
- Mandatory coverage may be required
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in senior care, healthcare, or caregiving
- CNA certification
- Current CPR/First Aid certification
- Willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid certification
