Job Summary
Resident Assistant/Care Aide delivers quality assisted living services focused on maximizing resident’s individual capabilities in accordance with all laws, regulations and Century Park standards. Reports to Resident Care Director. Primary responsibilities include assisting residents with activities of daily living, reading the 24-hour log, rounds, dressing and grooming, toileting, bathing, ambulation with walkers/canes/wheelchairs, meal assistance, encouraging participation in activities, light housekeeping, preparing residents for activities/meals/appointments, delivering meals, ensuring residents are present for meals, reporting changes in resident conditions, welcoming new residents, assisting with move-in packing, maintaining infection control, and complying with Century Park’s ethical standards. Qualifications also require patience, tact, cheerful disposition, ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and maintaining confidentiality and professional relationships. Orientation to include compliance training.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year experience in senior services preferred
- Must have State Trained Nursing Assistant certification (if required by State)
- CNA certification or Home Health Aide certification preferred
- Must have CPR certification upon hire or obtain during Orientation. Certification must remain current during employment.
