Job Summary
Resident Assistant responsibilities include providing personal care assistance, companionship, and encouragement to residents; monitor health indicators (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration) and assist with daily activities, mobility, and meals; help residents to and from dining areas, support participation in activities, and collaborate with the care team to follow individualized care plans and Advance Directives; maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment; communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff, report observations promptly, and contribute to teamwork and morale; comply with infection prevention protocols and PPE requirements; opportunities for growth and internal advancement are supported.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- One year of experience as a resident assistant within a senior living community or healthcare setting is preferred
- CPR or BLS certification preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Word) and electronic health record systems
- Ability to follow infection prevention protocols and PPE usage
- Ability to work in a team and engage with residents, families, and staff
