Job Summary
Resident Assistant/Caregiver provides quality care and assistance with activities of daily living to residents. Responsibilities include assisting residents with ADLs, housekeeping of resident rooms and common areas, responding to resident calls and emergencies, supporting meal and activity participation, maintaining confidentiality, and reporting status to nursing staff. Requires HS Diploma or GED and completion of an approved PCA program; CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 60 days); strong verbal and written communication; ability to lift 50 lbs and move residents with proper body mechanics; ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends/holidays; is part of a nursing team and adheres to policies. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- successfully completed approved personal care aide program per state regulations as applicable
- CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to become certified within 60 days of hire
- ability to communicate verbally and in writing
- ability to lift 50 lbs and push or carry 25 lbs
- ability to walk and stand for extended periods
- ability to represent the community positively
- willingness to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
