Resident Assistant (Caregiver)

Personally get to know all residents in your group by communicating with team members, reviewing records, and conducting direct conversations. Orient new residents to their living environment, staff, and community amenities while explaining routines and expectations to ease their transition. Coordinate, implement, and accurately document all personal care components from the Resident Handbook and Care Plan, including activities of daily living. Continually assess each resident's ability to perform basic daily living, life management, and social skills, communicating observations and referring potential difficulties to team leaders or supervisors. Use care planning meetings to identify actions that reinforce residents' potential to live independently, working individually each day to expand the number of activities residents perform for themselves.
