Job Summary
Assist residents with activities of daily living including dressing, grooming, bathing, eating, toileting, ambulation, and transferring. Administer medication as delegated by the RN and provide AM and HS cares including oral care. Manage incontinence care and assistive devices such as glasses and hearing aids. Observe, document, and report changes in physical, cognitive, and emotional conditions while promoting resident independence through choices and self-help skills. Respond to safety hazards, call lights, and requests, and complete scheduled cleaning tasks. Partner effectively with the team as directed by the Clinical Director or Registered Nurse.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written
- Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident's Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulations
- Must be available for every other weekend rotation
- Must work PM Shift 2:15pm - 10:15pm
- Must work 67.5 hours/2 weeks
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Previous experience with working with senior
