Resident Assistant (caregiver)

Job Summary
Provide basic personal assistance to residents, including ambulation, transferring, showering, feeding, and incontinence care, while building rapport and establishing trusting relationships. Conduct daily tasks safely, serve meals with cleanup, and maintain clean, tidy rooms and laundry. Observe residents closely for changes in physical or psychosocial condition, skin breakdown, or behavioral shifts, reporting concerns immediately to the Wellness Director. Answer emergency response calls instantly, follow established safety regulations, and complete all required documentation and training. Perform post-mortem care as instructed and communicate with family and volunteers in a customer service-oriented manner.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent educational experience
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Must pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen, TB test and physical
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both residents and staff
- Ability to lift, pull, push, carry 40 pounds and to move about the community quickly in order to provide emergency assistance to residents
- Maintains a safe environment for patients and co-workers, transports patients and equipment as appropriate

Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with Seniors
- CNA certification
- Previous experience in Assisted Living or Memory Care
