Job Summary
PRN Resident Assistant at a 68-unit assisted living community in Albert Lea, MN provides care and services including medication administration, ADL assistance, bathing, dressing, toileting, transfers, vital signs, infection-control practices, and meal support. Flexible schedule with on-call shifts across days, evenings, and nights; duties performed in accordance with location standards, with emphasis on safety, hygiene, and resident well-being.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Must complete and maintain medication administration training program and competencies per state guidelines
- Assists residents with self-administration of medications and may administer medications with proper training
- Assists residents with bathing and maintaining cleanliness of all body areas
- Assists residents with toileting needs
- Assists residents in transferring, repositioning and walking
- Obtains vital signs accurately and reports changes in resident health status
- Follows OSHA and CDC guidelines to minimize infections and follows SDS guidelines for exposure
- Provides meal/snack service following orders, standards and regulations
- Maintains cleanliness of residents' rooms and bathrooms and shared spaces
- Participates in community involvement and works with volunteers
- High School Diploma or GED may be required depending on state
