Resident Advocate- Sun-Thurs 11P-7A (51008)

Resident Advocate position at The Family Place (Dallas, TX) for Sun–Thu 11P–7A in a shelter serving survivors of family violence. Responsibilities include providing emotional support to residents, active listening, crisis intervention and de-escalation, documenting updates with Case Managers and staff, reviewing shelter policies with new intakes, assisting with basic life skills and safety planning, arranging transportation, supervising interns/volunteers, co-facilitating resident meetings and events, back-up coverage for hotline calls, and maintaining shelter safety and cleanliness. Requires a degree in psychology/social work/sociology (or an associate degree with equivalent experience) and a Texas driver’s license; bilingual English/Spanish may be required.
