Job Summary
Resident Advisor for Youth Housing and Independent Living programs in Detroit/Redford. Responsibilities include supervising and supporting residents, teaching independent living skills, applying de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques, ensuring resident safety, assisting with daily living activities, and coordinating access to community resources for employment, education, mentorship, and volunteerism. Also conducts paperwork, logs, critical incidents, and monthly reports; collaborates with a diverse team to maintain a positive, inclusive environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 - 3 years of experience in human services with serious emotional disorder (SED) at-risk youth males between ages 16–19 preferred
- Valid driver’s license
