Job Summary
Create a monthly plan of activities and events for residents of all skill and ability levels. Arrange for parties and entertainment presented by outside groups while acting as a liaison with local senior centers. Manage the department budget appropriately and assist in orienting new residents to the community by introducing them to staff and showing them around. Participate in the Manager on Duty program and prepare and carry out special projects as assigned. Provide marketing support within the community by participating in tours and discussions with potential residents and their families.
Required Qualifications
- A valid driver's license
- Must be able to use standard office equipment, which includes, but is not limited to, a personal computer, copier, and fax, and be able to operate an automobile and van
- Freedom from illegal use of drugs
- Must be able to lift 50 or more pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar residential facility
- Previous event or activity planning experience
- Compassionate, understanding personality
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to assist residents on and off a bus, van or car, and required to move or arrange furniture for activities and/or climb, stoop, bend, kneel, push and reach to carry out any activity
- Ability to remain calm under stress
