Residency Coordinator, Surgery - Full Time

Job Summary
Interact with staff and Program Directors to oversee administrative, non-clinical functions for residency and fellowship program development, planning, and governance. Manage annual recruitment processes, coordinate In Training Exams, and organize events including orientation, graduation, and wellness retreats. Develop resident handbooks, manage specialized software systems for accreditation and recruitment (ERAS, NRMP, FREIDA), and handle resident/faculty evaluation processes. Liaise with the Finance office for Medicare cost reports and ensure compliance with ACGME and HR requirements for all residents and rotators.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree preferably Health Administration, education or business
- 2 years experience as a residency program coordinator in a Graduate Medical Education facility
- high level of specialized software and program accreditation requirements
- Proficient knowledge of Graduate Medical Education residency program coordination process
- Proficient knowledge of ACGME Accreditation requirements
- skills in leadership and personnel management appropriate to the complexity of the program
- High level of understanding of all accreditation and residency software systems
- Complete familiarity with computers and database management
- Must have a minimum of 10 education credits completed as defined by TAGME certification process
- Lift and carry 25 lbs
- patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR
