Job Summary
Provide clients with an orientation of facility services, protocols, and policies upon arrival. Monitor client behavior and well-being during check-ins while conducting hourly rounds to ensure room doors and personal belongings are secured. Utilize the DHS CARES system to complete intake check-ins and discharge conditional intakes. Advocate for client needs by making referrals and collaborating with appropriate resources. Maintain informal contact during day-to-day routines and report incidents, bagging and tagging belongings as needed. Submit reports documenting room cleaning and repair needs to the Shift Supervisor. This role supports clients residing in the facility under the general direction of the Operations Coordinator I.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma
- One year of experience working with at-risk people who have complex needs in a similar working environment
- Computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, EMR, and the ability to learn new technologies and databases
- Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds
- Willingness to obtain a CPR Certification and/or Food Protection Certificate while employed with Samaritan Daytop Village
