Job Summary
This position involves maintaining safety and security of residents at the Shelter, responding to emergencies, enforcing rules, administering operational compliance with government regulations, and controlling the distribution of client supplies and meals. Responsibilities include monitoring resident areas, ensuring cleanliness, assisting clients with appointments, managing medication reminders, and performing daily operational checks. Successful candidates must possess effective communication skills, a valid Food protection certificate, and are encouraged to have AED/CPR certification.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or GED equivalent (required)
- Valid NYC DOHMH Food protection Certificate or other NYC DOHMH approved food handling certificate
- Excellent communication skills
- AED/CPR Certification (or willingness to take course)
- Some Computer skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Homelessness or special needs population preferred
