Job Summary
Provide supervision and direction to Direct Support Professionals to ensure the safety and welfare of the people we support. Deliver training and supervision for staff and residents in self-care, domestic skills, socialization, and behavior modification while ensuring all programmatic issues and documentation are completed for OPWDD billing. Assist in coordinating the total residential program, managing life plans, and overseeing site operations including equipment repair and household supplies. Conduct staff meetings and monitor Plans of Corrective Action to maintain compliance with agency policies and governing bodies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field
- one (1) year experience working with the developmentally disabled
- Associates Degree in Human Services or related field
- two (2) years' experience working with developmentally disabled individuals
- one (1) year being in a supervisory position
- High School Diploma or equivalency
- one (1) years' supervisory experience
- three (3) years' of experience in a program for the developmentally disabled
- Must be medication certified or the ability to be medication certified within ninety (90) days
- Valid/acceptable NYS driver's license
- have the ability to be van certified within ninety (90) days
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Travel is routinely expected throughout Jefferson and St Lawrence counties or other areas as deemed appropriate for the needs of the people we support
- Work may require lifting, pushing, or pulling in excess of 30 pounds
