Job Summary
Coordinate treatment plans and oversee medical care, including medication administration and adaptive equipment maintenance. Supervise residential staff across all shifts, including holidays and emergencies, while providing coaching, evaluations, and ensuring mandatory training completion. Manage household finances, payroll, and supply inventory, and maintain accurate documentation for audits and regulatory inspections. Respond to medical and behavioral emergencies with sound judgment, ensuring compliance with OPWDD regulations and agency standards. Act as a liaison with families and external stakeholders to advocate for appropriate services and community inclusion.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field preferred
- Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory or managerial experience
- Valid New York State Driver's License in good standing
- AMAP (Approved Medication Administration Personnel) certified or eligible for certification
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and support staff
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling sensitive information
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field preferred
- Experience in a residential or developmental disabilities setting
- Knowledge of OPWDD regulations
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
