Job Summary
Residence Life Coordinator responsible for coordinating and monitoring the living environment across four residence buildings housing 800+ students, promoting community development, academic success and personal growth through program development and management of a team of 24 residence staff (including 5 Senior Dons). Duties include crisis response and case management, student support, policy enforcement, collaboration with campus departments, and developing and delivering residence programming and orientation for first-year residents. Requires on-campus residency and rotating on-call schedule; leadership in supervision, equity and wellness initiatives, crisis intervention, and maintaining a high-quality student life experience at Victoria University (University of Toronto).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Master’s degree is a strong asset
- Must possess at least three years of related experience in a residence or comparable setting
- Experience with supervision and program management in a university/college setting
- Strong computer skills including MS Office and desktop publishing
