Job Summary
Provide direct supervision to Resident Assistants, Apartment Community Assistants, and Graduate Assistants, managing recruitment, training, development, and performance evaluations. Maintain weekly staff meetings and enforce residence hall policies while serving as a hearing officer for conduct cases. Oversee building occupancy, key inventories, and payroll, collaborating with facilities to ensure community maintenance. Facilitate the Residence Life Engagement Model and Living Learning Communities, connect students with campus resources, and manage on-call rotation for emergency situations across the campus.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with undergraduate and graduate students
- Supervisory experience or previous experience working in university settings
- Skilled in excellent professional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with all individuals
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- Live-on requirement
- Partially furnished apartment
- Meal plan
- Expectation of using University Dining options
- On-call rotation with other Professional Staff as the primary contact person to assist in emergency or crisis situations
- On-call responsibilities are for the entire residential campus
- Includes university break periods and holidays
- Serve on Title IX or University Conduct Boards as needed
- Demonstrate regular and predictable attendance and punctuality
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience living or working in residence life or student leadership roles (1–3 years)
- Organizing multistep or long-term projects (e.g., Student Staff Training, Student Staff Recruitment)
- Master's degree in Higher Education Administration, Student Affairs, Counseling, Education, or related field
