Job Summary
Lead front office operations by performing Guest Service Agent functions, managing daily guest requests, and acting as the MOD when the Assistant Manager is absent. Provide training on safety and franchise standards to front office staff, assist in selecting agents, and schedule personnel within budget guidelines to ensure adequate coverage. Maintain accurate records for cash flow, reservations, and payments while corresponding with group and travel agents to resolve special requests. Assign duties to Guest Service Agents, observe performance against established policies, and answer inquiries regarding hotel services. Perform General Manager functions during their absence, conduct staff meetings, and solve problems for staff and guests as they arise.
Required Qualifications
- One-year certificate from college or technical school
- 6 months to 1 year related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Hospitality experience
- Must be available for evening and weekend availability
- Must be available for mid shift roughly 12:00pm-8:30pm
- Opportunity for AM shift desk coverage
- Opportunity for PM shift desk coverage
- Opportunity for overnight desk coverage
- Some of which is last minute
- Must be able to train team members

- Must be able to provide exceptional customer service to every guest
- Must be able to make good, thoughtful decisions to solve problems for staff and guests
- Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
- Must be able to perform functions of Guest Service Agent as scheduled by Management
- Must be able to provide training, including safety training, to front office staff as directed by Management
- Must be able to assist in the selection of Guest Service Agents
- Must be able to assist in scheduling front desk personnel within budget guidelines to assure adequate staffing
- Must be able to maintain accurate records including cash flow sheet, direct bill accounts, credit card payments, registration cards, and reservation cards
- Must be able to correspond with group and travel agents to answer special requests for rooms and rates
- Must be able to assist with sales and marketing efforts as directed
- Must be able to assign duties to Guest Service Agents and observe performance to ensure adherence to franchise standards, hotel policies and established operating procedures
- Must be able to answer inquiries pertaining to hotel policies and services
- Must be able to perform functions of the General Manager in their absence
- Must be able to assist General Manager in conducting staff meetings
- Must be able to perform all other duties as assigned
