Job Summary
Oversee day-to-day operations for the Ludlow Residence, supervising a team of 12-15 Resident Assistants and managing facility maintenance, inventory, and seasonal check-in/out processes. Conduct regular staff supervision, perform building rounds, and execute in-person hall management duties including vacant room inspections and compliance checks. Serve as the primary emergency responder and on-call liaison for non-SVA lessees, providing crisis intervention, conflict mediation, and acting as an official hearing officer for student disciplinary cases. Maintain student housing assignments and conduct processes using StarRez software while developing and enforcing community standards. This role requires living on-site in the residence hall apartment for emergency coverage and fostering a safe, inclusive living-learning environment for approximately 350 students.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of two (2+) or more years of relevant professional Residence Life experience
- Demonstrated experience supervising student staff or residential teams
- Computer literacy, with proficiency in standard office software, database management, and Google Workspace
- Proficiency in the use of StarRez software for student communications, housing assignment management, and conduct processes
- Must reside in the allocated residence hall apartment as the primary residence
- Must be available for on-call rotation to respond to crisis, health, and emergency situations
- Must travel to the central Residence Life office once a week, or as needed
- Capacity to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods
- Ability to lift and move office equipment weighing up to 15-20 lbs
- Ability to travel between buildings
