Job Summary
Residence Dining Chef at Dalhousie University for Aramark oversight of four campus dining halls, including high-volume catered events. Responsible for executing dining hall meal plan recipes, supporting culinary team and Food Service Managers, ensuring consistent standards in food preparation and presentation, mentoring staff, developing client/customer rapport, and adhering to safety, labor, and waste management policies. Requires 2-3 years supervisory culinary experience; culinary diploma/degree preferred; ability to work across four campus locations with flexible shifts; driving between campuses is an asset. Competitive benefits and salary range $55,000–$60,000 annually.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years culinary experience in a supervisory role
- Culinary diploma or degree is preferred
- Experience coaching, mentoring, and developing staff
- Flexibility to work at four dining hall campus locations
- Availability to work flexible shifts during the week and occasional weekend for special events
- Driver’s license is an asset to travel between campus dining halls
