Job Summary
Read and understand plan-o-grams, collect new item tags, and prepare work areas to complete section resets in a grocery store environment. Break down sections orderly, re-position shelving, and place product according to updated schematics while maintaining a clean workspace. Complete forms to report section completion to Kroger and supervisors, working independently with little supervision. Maintain professional relationships with customers and store management while adhering to safety guidelines and clocking in/out procedures. This role supports Kroger's merchandising operations, requiring a smartphone with internet access and personal safety gear.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to read and understand plan-o-grams
- Ability to read, write and communicate fluently in the English language
- A smartphone with internet/data access
- Must be able to provide personal tape measure
- Must be able to provide personal safety gloves
- Must be able to remain standing for several hours at a time
- Must be able to lift, push or pull 50 lbs. or more on a regular basis and occasionally up to 70 lbs. continuously
- Must be able to reach up and bend down, kneel, squat, reach in all directions and have unlimited upper and lower body mobility
- Must be able to lift and extend 30 lbs. above the head, sometimes repeatedly
- Must be able to have unlimited manual dexterity
- Must be able to tolerate exposure to extreme temperatures (0-90 degrees)
- Ability to work independently with little supervision
- Ability to be professional and helpful when dealing with customers
- Ability to maintain good relationship with store management team and staff
- Ability to comply with guidelines established for KOMPASS employees, especially those regarding timeliness, productivity, teamwork, communication and clocking in/out guidelines
