Job Summary
Reservoir Engineer at BP Technical Solutions India in Pune, responsible for applying broad reservoir engineering methods to aid reserves estimation, resources progression and production forecasting. Role involves supporting regional decisions on reserves estimation, reservoir management, and production forecasting; conducting classical reservoir analyses (rate/pressure transient, material balance, decline curve) and providing technical guidance for project delivery and resource progression. Collaborates across global subsurface teams, supports CCUS-related activities, and operates within a hybrid Office/Remote setup in India with up to 10% travel. Requires a BSc/MSc in Petroleum/Reservoir Engineering or related field and a strong track record in classical reservoir engineering workflows.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of experience as Reservoir Engineer
- Strong understanding of reservoir analysis fundamentals (pressure transient, decline curve, material balance)
- Experience with classical reservoir engineering workflows (Reservoir Management, Performance, Analytical RE)
- Experience with tools such as PETEX IPM, Kappa (Saphir)
- BSc or MSc in Petroleum/Reservoir Engineering or related field
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Ability to manage multiple activities and meet short-term deadlines
- Willingness to work in Pune, India with possible international deployment and hybrid work arrangement
