Job Summary
Reserve Officer duties include on-call law enforcement support for patrol operations, traffic enforcement, and court security, with responsibilities spanning writing reports, appearing in court, testifying as needed, and coordinating with full-time officers. The role may include support of search and rescue operations, responding to emergencies or natural disasters, operating equipment such as breathalyzer and radar, and performing security checks of businesses and residences. If assigned as Bailiff, duties expand to providing court security, transporting prisoners, maintaining courtroom order, assisting jurors and witnesses, and handling court procedures. Candidates must be Utah P.O.S.T. certified, possess a high school diploma or GED, and hold a valid Utah driver�s license or have the ability to obtain one prior to employment. This is a part-time position with the Saratoga Springs Police Department, typically 10 to 25 hours per week, serving as a great opportunity for退休 officers or recent POST graduates seeking to maintain POST certification while working part-time.
Required Qualifications
- 21 years of age or older
- A High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Utah P.O.S.T. Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) certification or Special Function Officer (SFO) certification
