Job Summary
Responsible for soliciting and managing reservations sales opportunities and for training and assigning Reservations Sales staff. Actively up-sell business opportunities to maximize revenue, drive customer loyalty through excellent service, and achieve personal and property revenue goals. Requires understanding markets, closing opportunities, coordinating with sales and Convention Services, preparing contracts and proposals, monitoring reservations and no-shows, and delivering exemplary customer service to grow share of the account. Education path includes a high school diploma or GED or a 2-year degree in related fields; experience in sales/marketing, guest services, or front desk is applicable. Marriott-capitalized focus on equal opportunity and brand standards.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
- 2 years experience in the sales and marketing, guest services, front desk, or related professional area
