Job Summary
Answer incoming calls promptly and book room reservations while quoting available rates to maximize revenue and average rate according to Aimbridge Hospitality standards. Handle special reservations including VIP packages and discounts, and communicate group booking details with the Sales Department. Maintain accurate files, update availability calendars, and compile information for monthly Rooms Merchandising meetings to input trends and opportunities. Monitor daily sales activity, alert management of sold-out nights or ceiling status, and complete required forecasts. Work in a friendly, service-oriented manner at The Dagny Boston, a new independent Art Deco hotel in downtown Boston's Financial District, with flexible scheduling based on hotel needs.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in a hotel or a related field
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Must work well in stressful high pressure situations
- Must be effective at listening to understanding and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests
- Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions
- Must maintain composure and objectivity while under pressure
