Job Summary
As a Reservations Agent at Ibis Cambridge Central Station, you will be the first point of contact for guests, handling reservations and enquiries via phone, email, and other channels; guide guests in selecting ideal room options to maximize booking potential; manage bookings including changes and cancellations; record guest preferences for seamless communication with departments; collaborate with front office to optimize occupancy and guest satisfaction; ensure accurate reservation details and smooth check-ins. Requires hospitality experience, strong communication and organizational skills, and a professional, guest-focused mindset. Fluent English is required; additional languages are a bonus. Hours are Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm with a salary of £13.45/hour and a range of benefits including pension, extra holidays, employee discounts, and training opportunities. Training in front-of-house functions and safety is provided; part of a team of around 40 at the Accor network.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in reservations or office roles within hospitality
- Familiarity with Opera Cloud or similar systems is a plus
- Fluent in English
