Job Summary
Researcher in higher education, skills, research and innovation policy. Contribute to policy-relevant research, evaluation and advisory projects for European/international clients, including desk research, policy analysis, evaluation/monitoring/impact studies, design and execution of qualitative/quantitative research activities, surveys/interviews/focus groups/stakeholder consultations, translating evidence into clear conclusions and client-facing outputs, and presenting findings to diverse audiences. Collaborative, international environment emphasizing analytical thinking, quality, and ownership. The role emphasizes policy-oriented research in higher education, skills, research and innovation policy, with opportunities to work on European initiatives and policy projects, and to develop methodological strengths and professional skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in economics, political science, public policy, education or another relevant social science discipline
- hands-on experience in public policy research, analysis, evaluation or implementation
- good understanding of qualitative research methods (literature reviews, interviews, focus groups, qualitative data analysis)
- good understanding of quantitative research methods
- experience with surveys and data analysis; familiarity with tools such as R, Stata or SPSS is advantageous
- excellent written and spoken English
