Job Summary
Identify methodological problems in research protocols and implement modifications to optimize experimental results. Prepare written or oral progress reports by assembling, organizing, and interpreting data. Assist in designing experiments and perform individual research projects, including literature reviews to determine suitable methods. Contribute to publication efforts through proofreading, editing, and idea generation. Occasionally conduct statistical analysis, computer programming, or research database management. Receive subsequent training in cell culture maintenance, flow cytometry, cell sorting, and technical animal work such as mouse breeding, blood draws, tumor measurements, and IVIS imaging.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related scientific field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2 years of experience working in a lab outside of school coursework
- Demonstrated accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to learn new skills quickly
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with cell culturing
