Job Summary
Part-time Research/Teaching Assistant (FWS) at American University (Kogod School of Business). Assist in teaching materials preparation, tutorials, lab sessions, grading, and student support; collaborate with the professor on ongoing research projects including literature reviews, data collection and analysis, and preparation of research publications and presentations; perform administrative tasks and help coordinate academic events. Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills are essential; previous research experience is an asset. Salary of $18.40/hour; 5 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- Enrolled American University student
- Good academic standing with a strong GPA
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with research methodologies, data analysis, and literature review
- Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with students, faculty, and staff
- Effective organizational and time management skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
- Previous research experience is an asset
Additional Requirements
- This position is available only to enrolled American University students.
- FWS funds cannot be applied to janitorial, construction, partisan or sectarian positions.
