Job Summary
Research Systems Analyst II at Cleveland Clinic will support the implementation of the Research Operating Systems (including Advarra) by assisting with system configuration, maintenance, updates, reporting, and automation. You will complete routine support tasks and assigned project work while contributing to enterprise research objectives, assist with project documentation, operational and business requirements, and identification of appropriate technology solutions. You will help define task-level resource needs, support task planning, and contribute to general project communications. The role includes developing process flow charts and reporting on project status, supporting the development of information system requirements, converting research protocols and system records, and supporting system transitions (Encore / Huron Research Suite context). A caregiver works remotely from 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. and must reside in Ohio or Florida. Qualifications emphasize an Associate’s degree (or equivalent), IT experience, and familiarity with system migrations, data management, and reporting tools like Power BI. The position requires collaboration across teams, cross-functional initiatives, and a commitment to healthcare research operations, with travel ability within the hospital system and standard PPE and background checks as part of employment.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in information technology, computer science or a related field and three years of experience in Information Technology with experience in applications development and support, end-user training, or equivalent experience in an operational or financial role utilizing the systems or data generated by the systems supported by this position
- OR a High School Diploma/GED and five years of experience
- OR a Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience
- Experience with System conversions/migrations
- Experience managing large volumes of information or records
- Preferred qualifications include: Microsoft, CompTIA or equivalent certification (ITIL Foundations preferred for IT division caregivers)
- Experience with Power BI and reporting tools for data visualization and dashboard development
- Exposure to healthcare or research systems and workflows
- Knowledge of data conversion processes, including data cleaning, transformation, and migration activities
- Ability to travel throughout the hospital system
- Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment
- Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information
