Job Summary
Conduct molecular, cell biology, and immunology experiments to support ongoing projects in the Sauer Lab, including developing research methodology, analyzing data, and interpreting results for internal and external reporting. Operate, clean, and maintain research equipment while tracking inventory levels and placing replenishment orders. Collect data, monitor test results, and provide operational guidance to unit staff and student workers. Participate in problem-solving and carry out project portions both independently and as a team member. This role supports research focused on host-pathogen interactions, antibiotic development, and tumor immunology within the Department of Medical Microbiology and Immunology.
Required Qualifications
- One year of lab experience (undergraduate independent laboratory research experience is acceptable)
- Strong background in molecular biology, cell biology and/or biochemistry
- Experience with Microsoft products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- BS/BA Degree required
- Continuous work eligibility in the United States (citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident/authorized foreign national)
- Proof of work authorization and eligibility to work

- Experience analyzing data and using statistics
