Job Summary
Research Specialist or Sr Scientist, Assay Sciences, Discovery Pharmacology role focusing on the development, execution, and optimization of cell-based and biochemical assays, including de novo assay development, high-throughput screening, and automation. Responsibilities include turning manual assays into automated processes, ensuring data integrity with ELN, collaborating with Discovery Sciences and computation/product teams, providing technical leadership for the assay sciences team, and managing external CROs to ensure high-quality data. Key skills include MSD, HTRF, AlphaLISA proficiency, lab automation (Bravo, Echo, I.DOT, Digital Dispenser), high-content imaging in 96- and 384-well formats, and strong scientific communication.
Required Qualifications
- Research Specialist Experience Requirement: Bachelors or Masters degree and 8+ years of industry experience.
- Sr Scientist Experience Requirements: PhD and 6+ years post-PhD, PLUS 3+ years of industry experience.
- Seriously good at developing and running a huge variety of analytical and bioassays.
- Cutting-edge assay tech: MSD, HTRF, AlphaLISA, etc.
- Expertise with lab automation gear (Bravo, Echo, I.DOT, Digital Dispenser, etc.).
- Experience with high-content imaging in high-throughput formats (96- and 384-well).
- Strong documentation in ELN.
- Experience managing external CROs.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills; ability to multitask.
- SME / emerging leader in a technical field with sustained performance and accomplishment.
