Job Summary
The Research Specialist at the Cohen Center for Modern Jewish Studies will support an interdisciplinary team conducting studies of the American Jewish community. Responsibilities include serving as the primary support during survey administration, managing qualitative survey data coding, training undergraduate research assistants, and handling online survey data collection. Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. A passion for social science research and the ability to learn quickly are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in social sciences or related field
- Highly organized and detail oriented

- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Desire and ability to learn new skills quickly
- Comfort with technology
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Familiarity with the US Jewish community
Desired Qualifications
- Training in quantitative methods and statistics
- Experience conducting telephone and/or in-person interviews
- Data visualization skills
- Knowledge of non-English languages including Hebrew, Russian, and/or Spanish
