Job Summary
Serve as the DMPK representative on projects for gastroenterology, autoimmune, and oncology Drug Discovery Units by providing molecular and cellular analysis support for novel drug therapy. Deliver scientific support focused on cellular and molecular quantification using flow cytometry, ddPCR, Nanostring nCounter, and other assay platforms to advance early drug development and translational research. Design, validate, and implement new methodologies including in silico approaches, while troubleshooting bioanalytical assay issues and adopting novel technologies. Lead the interpretation of study results, prepare regulatory-ready reports, and provide scientific monitoring and guidance to external resources for method transfer and qualification. Summarize and present experimental results to cross-functional project teams and DMPK meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Doctorate degree in Pathobiology or related field
- lead hypothesis-driven investigative research including in vitro, ex vivo and in vivo studies to drive novel therapeutic development including animal handling and biological sample handling
- design, optimize, and implement molecular, cellular, bioanalytical, and biomarker assays including ELISA, PCR, neutralization assay, proliferation, flow cytometry and ELISPOT to assess transgenes, recombinant proteins, cytokines, antibodies, and immunogenicity for efficacy studies
- apply advanced computational and statistical approaches to analyze and interpret large, complex datasets to support decisionmaking
- analyze nucleotide and peptide sequences using bioinformatics or in silico tools to create and evaluate synthetic primers, plasmids, and other synthetic genes and peptides to support therapeutics development
